Branding and Web Redesign

Sofie Hagen is a multi-award-winning London-based Danish comedian, author, podcaster, and #influencer.

In 2015, Sofie won the Best Newcomer award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for her debut show Bubblewrap. She followed this up with the critically acclaimed sell-out shows Shimmer Shatter in 2016, Dead Baby Frog in 2017, and The Bumswing in 2019.  

Sofie published her debut book “Happy Fat” in 2019 and is the creator and host of the wildly successful podcast Who Hurt You?, co-host of BBC Sounds Original true crime podcast Bad People alongside Dr Julia Shaw and has hosted several other successful podcasts.  She has grown a huge social media following to complement her podcast audience and is a much-in-demand speaker and comedian.

Sofie initially got in touch with me for a re-brand and potential website re-design, and we ended up doing both. There was no need for a brand strategy as she was already working with a long-term strategist, so we got straight into visuals. I’ve updated her hand-written style logo, added some marks and signatures, established her font system and colour palette, and provided art direction for the photoshoot that she had during our project.

In terms of the website, I left the overall look as it already was – minimal and bold, and applied the new branding, redesigned the pages to improve the customer journey and made navigating the large amount of content that Sofie creates clear and intuitive.

The project has been complex but joyful, with Sofie’s fun, warm, and straight-up personality brightening my days.
